Calcium (Eggshell Source) + Vitamin D3 is a calcium and vitamin d supplement medicine available in Bangladesh under many brand names. Below are its uses, dosage, side effects and precautions — and all brands with their current prices.

• Prevention and treatment of calcium deficiency when dietary intake is inadequate.
• Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency when supplementation is appropriate.
• Adjunctive support in osteoporosis or osteopenia as advised by a healthcare professional.
• Support of increased calcium and vitamin D requirements in adults, older people, pregnancy or breastfeeding when recommended by a doctor.

Adult dose depends on the strength of the tablet, dietary calcium intake, vitamin D status, age, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, kidney function, and the reason for use. It is usually taken with or after food to improve tolerance and absorption. Follow the dose and duration prescribed by the doctor; do not take extra calcium or vitamin D from multiple products unless advised.

• Common: constipation, stomach discomfort, bloating, gas, nausea, or a chalky taste.
