Editorial & Medical Review Policy

ChamberBD publishes a public medicine directory and health library used by patients, caregivers and doctors across Bangladesh. Because this is health information that people may act on, we hold it to a clear standard. This page explains exactly how our content is researched, written, reviewed and kept up to date — and how you can tell us when something is wrong.

Who writes and reviews this content

Our medicine and health pages are produced by the ChamberBD Medical Content Team — an in-house editorial team working to a fixed clinical-content checklist, with input from registered pharmacists and physicians on the ChamberBD platform. Every published page carries a visible "written & reviewed by" line and a last-reviewed date so you always know who stands behind the information and when it was last checked.

How we create a medicine page

We are transparent about our process. Each medicine page is built in three stages:

• Research & drafting. A draft is compiled from established, internationally recognised drug information for the active ingredient (generic). We use AI tools to assist with drafting and Bangla translation, which lets us cover thousands of medicines consistently — but a draft is never published as-is.
• Review against the checklist. Every draft is checked against a clinical-content checklist: indications, dosing guidance, side effects, precautions, interactions, contraindications, pregnancy & lactation, and storage. We deliberately avoid stating invented or non-standard doses; where a precise dose depends on the patient, we give general guidance and defer to the prescribing doctor.
• Validation & publishing. Pages that fail our automated and manual quality checks are held back and not published. Bangla content is checked to read naturally, not as machine transliteration.

Our sources

We base medicine information on:

• Manufacturer prescribing information and package inserts for medicines registered in Bangladesh;
• Standard, widely accepted pharmacology and drug-reference material;
• Public guidance from recognised health authorities, including the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) where relevant.

Prices shown are indicative and sourced from public Bangladeshi pharmacy listings; actual retail prices vary by pharmacy and over time.

What this information is — and is not

ChamberBD's medicine and health content is general information only. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for advice from a registered doctor or pharmacist. Only a BMDC-registered practitioner who knows your history can decide what medicine, dose and duration is right for you. Never start, stop or change a medicine based on a web page alone, and never self-medicate with prescription-only drugs. In an emergency, contact a doctor or hospital immediately.

Keeping content current

Medicine information changes. We review and refresh pages on a rolling basis and stamp each with a last-reviewed date. Drug availability, brand names and prices in Bangladesh are updated as new data becomes available. If a page looks out of date, the date at the top tells you when we last checked it.

Corrections & feedback

If you are a doctor, pharmacist or reader and you spot something inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please tell us — we take corrections seriously and prioritise medical-accuracy reports. Email [email protected] with the page link and the correction. Many pages also carry a feedback widget you can use directly.

Independence & advertising

Our medicine and health content is editorially independent. We do not let manufacturers pay to change clinical information, and the inclusion of a brand in the directory is not an endorsement. ChamberBD is a doctor and chamber-management platform; where we mention our own tools (such as the free prescription generator), it is clearly our product.
