Betacarotene + Vitamin C + Vitamin E is a antioxidant vitamin supplement medicine available in Bangladesh under many brand names. Below are its uses, dosage, side effects and precautions — and all brands with their current prices.

• Prevention or treatment of dietary deficiency of beta-carotene/provitamin A, vitamin C, or vitamin E when intake is inadequate.
• Supplementation during periods of increased nutritional need when recommended by a registered doctor or pharmacist.
• Antioxidant vitamin supplementation as part of nutritional support; it is not a substitute for a balanced diet or treatment of disease.

Adult dosing depends on the exact strength and the reason for use. Follow the prescribing doctor’s instructions or the product label; these supplements are commonly taken with food to improve tolerance and absorption. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose, and ask a doctor or pharmacist if long-term use is needed.

• Common: nausea, stomach upset, abdominal discomfort, constipation or diarrhoea.
• Vitamin C may cause heartburn or diarrhoea at higher intakes.
