Aluminium Hydroxide + Magnesium Hydroxide + Simethicone is a antacid and antiflatulent medicine available in Bangladesh under many brand names. Below are its uses, dosage, side effects and precautions — and all brands with their current prices.

• Symptomatic relief of heartburn and acid indigestion.
• Relief of sour stomach or upset stomach associated with excess acid.
• Relief of bloating, pressure, or discomfort due to intestinal gas.

Adults usually take antacid tablets by chewing them thoroughly after meals and at bedtime, or as directed on the product label or by a doctor. The exact dose and frequency depend on the product strength, symptoms, age, kidney function, and other medicines being taken. Do not exceed the recommended dose, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist, recur frequently, or worsen.

• Constipation, more likely from aluminium hydroxide.
• Diarrhoea or loose stools, more likely from magnesium hydroxide.
• Nausea, stomach cramps, chalky taste, or belching.
• With prolonged or excessive use: low blood phosphate, weakness, bone problems, or electrolyte disturbances.
• Serious but uncommon: high magnesium or aluminium levels, especially in people with kidney impairment; symptoms may include confusion, unusual tiredness, low blood pressure, slow heartbeat, or breathing difficulty.
• Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, swelling, or breathing difficulty require urgent medical help.

Use with caution in people with kidney disease, elderly patients, people on a low-phosphate diet, those with severe constipation, bowel obstruction symptoms, persistent abdominal pain, vomiting, black stools, unexplained weight loss, or symptoms lasting more than 1–2 weeks. Avoid long-term or frequent use unless advised by a clinician. Use under the guidance of a registered doctor or pharmacist, especially if you take other medicines or have chronic health conditions.

• May reduce absorption of tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics; separate doses as advised by a doctor or pharmacist.
