Stomacare (Vet) 25 gm + 1.5 gm + 1.5 gm + 7 gm + 65 gm/100 gm powder by Kemiko Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a digestive powder that contains Ammonium Bicarbonate + Gentian + Ginger + Nux Vomica + Sodium Bicarbonate. In Bangladesh, it is mainly used for short-term relief of acidity, indigestion, bloating and gas when these symptoms are mild and occasional.

Ammonium Bicarbonate + Gentian + Ginger + Nux Vomica + Sodium Bicarbonate combines bicarbonate salts that neutralize excess stomach acid with herbal bitter/carminative ingredients such as gentian and ginger that may support digestion. A key caution is that nux vomica can be toxic if improperly processed or taken in excess, so the product should be used only as directed and not for long-term self-treatment.

• Short-term symptomatic relief of mild indigestion or dyspepsia.
• Relief of acidity or heartburn associated with excess stomach acid.
• Relief of bloating, belching and gas after meals.

For adults, use the powder exactly as written on the product label or as advised by a registered doctor or pharmacist, usually mixed with water and taken after meals when needed. Use caution in people with kidney disease, heart failure, high blood pressure, oedema, liver disease, a sodium-restricted diet, acid-base disorders, seizure disorders, stomach ulcer symptoms, persistent reflux, or recurrent indigestion. Avoid excessive or prolonged use. Use Ammonium Bicarbonate + Gentian + Ginger + Nux Vomica + Sodium Bicarbonate under a registered doctor's or pharmacist's guidance, especially for children, older adults, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and anyone taking regular medicines.

• Antacid bicarbonates can reduce or delay absorption of some medicines, including tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics, iron, levothyroxine, azole antifungals and some heart medicines; separate doses as advised by a healthcare professional.
• Sodium bicarbonate can alter urine pH and may affect medicines such as lithium, salicylates and some stimulants.
• Ginger may increase bleeding risk when used with anticoagulants or antiplatelet medicines such as warfarin, aspirin or clopidogrel.
• Ginger may add to the effects of diabetes or blood-pressure medicines in some people.
• Alcohol, smoking, very spicy or fatty foods and large late meals may worsen acidity or indigestion symptoms.

• Known allergy or hypersensitivity to any component of Ammonium Bicarbonate + Gentian + Ginger + Nux Vomica + Sodium Bicarbonate.
• Known or suspected poisoning or sensitivity to nux vomica/strychnine-containing products.
• Severe kidney impairment, metabolic or respiratory alkalosis, or conditions where extra sodium load is unsafe unless specifically prescribed.
• Do not use for severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, gastrointestinal bleeding, chest pain, or unexplained weight loss without urgent medical assessment.

Safety of this combination in pregnancy and breastfeeding is not well established, particularly because it contains nux vomica and multiple herbal/mineral ingredients. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it only if a registered doctor considers it necessary and should avoid self-medication.
