Artiflex 200 mg + 250 mg Tablet

Artiflex 200 mg + 250 mg tablet by Rangs Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is a medicine/supplement preparation containing Chondroitin + Glucosamine. In Bangladesh it is mainly used as an adjunct for symptomatic relief of osteoarthritis-related joint pain and stiffness, especially in knee osteoarthritis.

Chondroitin + Glucosamine contains building blocks related to cartilage components and may help reduce osteoarthritis symptoms in some people over time; it is not a fast painkiller. A key caution is to seek medical advice before use if you take blood thinners such as warfarin or have allergy to shellfish-derived products.

• Adjunctive symptomatic relief of pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis, particularly knee osteoarthritis.
• May be used as part of a broader osteoarthritis care plan including exercise, weight management, physiotherapy, and appropriate pain medicines when prescribed.

Adult dosing depends on the strength and formulation of the tablet. It is usually taken by mouth with or after food as directed on the prescription or product label. Symptom benefit, if it occurs, may take several weeks; stop and consult a doctor if there is no meaningful improvement after an adequate trial or if symptoms worsen. Follow the prescribing doctor’s specific dose and duration, and do not exceed the recommended daily amount.

• Common: nausea, indigestion, heartburn, abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea or constipation, bloating.
• Other possible effects: headache, drowsiness, skin rash or itching.
• Serious but uncommon: allergic reaction with swelling, breathing difficulty or severe rash; increased bleeding tendency, especially with anticoagulants; worsening asthma symptoms in susceptible people.

Use cautiously in people with diabetes or impaired glucose control, asthma, liver or kidney disease, bleeding disorders, upcoming surgery, or a history of allergy to shellfish or any product ingredient. People taking anticoagulants or antiplatelet medicines should not start it without medical advice. It is not intended for sudden severe joint pain, hot swollen joints, injury-related pain, or suspected infection. Use under a registered doctor's or pharmacist's guidance.

• Warfarin and other anticoagulants: may increase INR or bleeding risk; close medical monitoring is needed.
• Antiplatelet medicines such as aspirin or clopidogrel and NSAIDs: may add to bleeding or stomach-related risks in some patients.
• Diabetes medicines: blood glucose monitoring is advisable because effects on glucose control are uncertain in susceptible patients.
• Other supplements with bleeding risk, such as high-dose fish oil, ginkgo, garlic, or vitamin E: use cautiously.

• Known hypersensitivity to glucosamine, chondroitin, or any excipient in the product.
• Previous serious allergic reaction to shellfish-derived glucosamine products, unless the source is confirmed safe and a clinician advises use.
• Do not use as a substitute for urgent medical care in acute, severe, swollen, red, or fever-associated joint symptoms.

There is not enough reliable safety information for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or those planning pregnancy, should use Chondroitin + Glucosamine only if a doctor considers it necessary.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the container tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date or if the tablets appear damaged.
