What is WT1?

WT1 (Wilms' Tumor 1) is a genetic test that detects the presence of the WT1 gene, which is associated with various cancers, particularly Wilms' tumor (a type of kidney cancer in children), as well as other cancers like ovarian, testicular, and leukemias. The test is used to help diagnose these cancers, assess risk, or monitor treatment response.
