What is USG of pelvis?

An Ultrasound (USG) of the Pelvis is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to assess the organs and structures within the pelvic region, including the bladder, uterus, ovaries (in females), prostate (in males), and surrounding tissues. The procedure helps diagnose conditions like urinary tract infections, cysts, tumors, fibroids, or bladder issues.

During the test, a gel is applied to the skin, and a transducer is moved over the area to capture real-time images. Depending on the specific reason, the patient may be asked to have a full bladder.
