What is TTF1?

The TTF1 (Thyroid Transcription Factor 1) test is used to detect the presence of TTF1 antibodies or assess TTF1 expression, often in the context of lung or thyroid cancers. It helps identify certain types of cancers, particularly non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) or thyroid cancers.

No special preparation is needed, and the test usually involves a blood sample or tissue biopsy. Risks include mild discomfort, bruising, or infection if a biopsy is performed.
