The TPHA (T.pallidum Hemagglutination Assay) test detects antibodies against Treponema pallidum, the bacterium responsible for syphilis.

It helps diagnose syphilis, especially in later stages, or confirm previous exposure. No special preparation is required, and a blood sample is drawn from a vein.

Risks include mild discomfort, bruising, or infection at the puncture site. A positive result indicates syphilis infection, while a negative result suggests no current infection.
