What is PORTABLE XRAY PELVIS AP?

A portable X-ray of the pelvis AP (anteroposterior) is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to examine the bones and structures of the pelvic region, including the hip joints, sacrum, and pelvic bones. In the AP view, the X-ray beam passes from the front (anterior) to the back (posterior) of the body, providing a clear image of the pelvic area.

This X-ray helps detect fractures, dislocations, degenerative changes, tumors, or other abnormalities in the pelvis. It is commonly performed in emergency settings or for patients who cannot be easily transported to a traditional X-ray facility.

What to expect & how to prepare
