What is Anti HEV?

The Anti-HEV IgM test detects IgM antibodies against the Hepatitis E virus (HEV). The presence of IgM antibodies indicates recent or acute infection with HEV.

This test is particularly useful for diagnosing acute hepatitis E, especially in individuals presenting with symptoms of jaundice or liver inflammation. It is commonly used in areas where HEV outbreaks are prevalent.
